Off-Center presentation of the 2014 season. Faust will be directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Marcos Santana. Jeanine Tesori is the Encores! Off-Center artistic director; Chris Fenwick is its music director.

Tony Award Nominated Producer Matthew Weaver (Rock of Ages) of MediaWeaver Entertainment - a movie, TV and stage production company - has acquired the theatrical stage rights to the trailblazing musical variety television series Soul Train. Created in 1970 by visionary Don Cornelius, Soul Train famously introduced the world to generations of new music and a whole new series of dance moves and styles on a weekly basis. Weaver acquired the rights from Soul Train Holdings, LLC. Weaver is now in talks with theater and film notables to come on board as the creative team for the Broadway production.

Tony Award-winning composer-lyricist Jason Robert Brown is the Blodgett Artist in Residence at the Harvard University Department of Music for the spring term and he gave the equivalent of a master class last night at Oberon. In a seventy-five minute performance, Brown served a buffet of delicious morsels from his musical theater canon and had the audience eating out of his hand.

Brooklyn indie rock quartet Milagres recently released their sophomore full-length album, Violent Light, via Kill Rock Stars in the US (out now via Memphis Industries in the UK). The Broadway Green Alliance (BGA) has announced the celebration of its fifth year and the launch of a new online Theatre Greening Advisor.
