The show falls somewhat flat despite tight choreography, stunning set design, and some supporting star turns

Stephen DeAngelis is resuming his ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway Standbys, Understudies and Alternates with the next edition of AT THIS PERFORMANCE…™ to be held on Monday, September 27th  at The Green Room 42, Green Fig, Fourth Floor, Yotel NYC, 570 Tenth Avenue (at 42nd Street), New York, NY 10036 at 7 PM. 

Last night I sat in a theatre for the first time in 557 days. I’m positive I wasn’t the only one holding a track record of that caliber, because the excitement in the Hobby Center was tangible. Theatre is back indeed. And what better way to welcome you than the visually stunning, lovely tale of Professor Higgins and his pupil Eliza Doolittle. MY FAIR LADY (1956) is as classic as it gets, the prime example of Broadway at its best and finest.

The North American tour of Lincoln Center Theater's production of Lerner & Loewe's My Fair Lady officially returned on September 14, 2021 at The Hobby Center in Houston, TX. Returning to lead the cast are Shereen Ahmed as Eliza Doolittle, Laird Mackintosh as Professor  Henry Higgins, Leslie Alexander as Mrs. Higgins, Adam Grupper as Alfred P. Doolittle, Kevin  Pariseau as Colonel Pickering, Gayton Scott as Mrs. Pearce, and Sam Simahk as Freddy Eynsford-Hill. 

What happens when you want something so badly, you step out of reality to get it? L.A. Theatre Works presents Deal by Barbara Isenberg, a delightfully funny and surreal eight-minute foray into 'short story cinema' starring Sean Astin and Sarah Drew.

My Fair Lady, playing at the Orpheum Theatre through March 8th, is a gorgeous revival that will thrill fans of the classic movie as well as theater purists. With familiar songs, beautiful Tony Award-winning costumes and detailed, period-inspired sets, the new production has everything you could want in a Broadway showstopper.

This week the new national tour of The Lincoln Center Theater Production of My Fair Lady opened at Syracuse's Landmark Theatre and it is a moving, powerful, and beautiful production under the superb direction of Bartlett Sher. It is in fact the classic My Fair Lady  you are probably used to seeing but it does offer a fresh take on the classic musical in this new and breathtaking production.

As BroadwayWorld reported yesterday, complete casting has been announced for the upcoming North American tour of Lincoln Center Theater's critically-acclaimed production of Lerner & Loewe's My Fair Lady.
