As an Indonesian born theatre-lover, I remember seeing my first Broadway show, which was the Miss Saigon Revival. As a proud Asian myself, I could not believe that I was seeing the iconic helicopter scene from the mezzanine, after growing up singing 'I'd Give My Life for You' in my living room all the time. Beyond its theatrical elements, it was heartwarming to see someone like myself portrayed on a Broadway stage where people of varying cultures could witness a group of Asian performers shine on stage. As Broadway is starting to become more progressive in the realms of diversity and representation, here are some of the Asian actresses gracing the stage this year.

Wentz Theatre at Newport Harbor High School of ED ASNER starring as God in GOD HELP US!, written by Samuel Warren Joseph & Phil Proctor and directed by Mitch Levine and also starring Stewart J. Comedy Central has secured the exclusive linear television rights to all current seasons of the Netflix original series BoJack Horseman, making the #1 brand in comedy the only place to watch the hit animated series on linear TV. Season One of The Tornante Company-produced series will make its linear television premiere on Comedy Central this fall immediately following the Season 22 debut of South Park. Select episodes will be available to stream on cc.com and the CC App. The deal was negotiated by Lionsgate-owned distributor Debmar-Mercury and Viacom Program Acquisitions Group.

The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 12th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 6-16, 2018, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. The ten-day festival celebrates the most anticipated new shows of the Fall 2018 television season as well as returning favorites from all five major broadcast networks, cable television, and premium streaming services. Each event includes screenings followed by star-studded discussions with the series cast and creatives.
