Yasha Alaniz

Yasha Estrella Alaniz (she/her/ella) is a Los Angeles-based performer and creator born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Texas. She is passionate about stories that highlight her intersections as a queer Latina and that serve as catalysts for human connection, comprehension, and compassion.

Yasha has begun planting her roots in Los Angeles, particularly within the queer Latinx theatre and comedy scene. She believes art is one of the most transformative forces we have-and that it is vital to honor and wield that power with intention. Yasha knows the industry needs more faces like hers, and more space for the stories she is here to tell.

When she’s not on stage or screen, you can often find Yasha thrifting, writing, painting, or making music with her queer rock band.
