Terry Berliner (she/her) Broadway: The Lion King, The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife, The Sound of Music and The Red Shoes. Off Broadway: Time and Again, Captains Courageous, Violet, and Merrily We Roll Along. Other NYC: Promising, Hereafter, Next Thing You Know, Cloaked (2011 Kleban Prize and Jonathan Larson Award-winning new musical), The Maiden’s Prayer, By Proxy, One Thing I Like To Say, Emma, The Mercy Seat, Spine, and Allegro at Encores! Terry received the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for her production of Bingo. Her work in regional theaters has been seen at Merrimack Repertory Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, McCarter Theatre, Geva Theatre Center and Arena Stage. Terry has directed for or lectured at SUNY at Buffalo, North Carolina School of the Arts, NYU Tisch, Pace, University of Massachusetts, Stephens College, Brooklyn College and the University of Colorado where she received the Roe Green Artist Grant for direction and choreography of the new musical Beneath the Surface. Terry has written and directed events for TDF, the Drama Desk Awards, The York Theatre Company, TheatreWorks USA, The Actor’s Fund, the PGA, Piaget Jewelry, and others. She has also written for American Theatre magazine, Theatre Bay Area and Theatre History Studies. She recently served as Interim Artistic Director for Merrimack Repertory Theatre and has served as Artistic Director for LeAp Onstage (a playwriting program for NYC Public School students) She is a member of SDC Society and the Dramatists Guild.

Nathan R. Matthews is producing and performing in a concert for The Riverside Opera Ensemble at Merkin Hall at the Kaufman Music Center on May 16th. Tony nominee Christiane Noll (Ragtime) and Grammy winner Edward Parks (The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs) will headline the concert of new music by Dreamworks composer Drew Fornarola and Matthews himself.

MRT Reschedules ERMA BOMBECK: AT WIT'S END Pauses Production Due to Omicron

Due to the surge in Covid-19 infection rates, Merrimack Repertory Theatre announced today that its upcoming production of Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End will pause after the completion of rehearsals next week, and the comedy will restart with both live and video performances on February 24. This move will cause the theatre to shift Woody Sez: The Life and Music of Woody Guthrie to June.

MRT Announces New Artistic Director Courtney Sale

The Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) Board of Trustees and Executive Director Bonnie J. Butkas announced today that Courtney Sale, Artistic Director of Seattle Children's Theatre, will become the Nancy L. Donahue Artistic Director here in March. She will be the first woman to serve as artistic director and the first to fill the position since it was named in honor of Founding Chair Nancy L. Donahue.

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT) today announced a lineup change to the 2019-20 Season with the addition of Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End by Allison Engel and Margaret Engel. A one-woman tour-de-force, At Wit's End celebrates the life of one of the 20th Century's most beloved humorists, who wrote more than 4,000 columns for 900 newspapers and 30 million readers.
