The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts will celebrate the Circle in the Square Theatre, and its co-founders, Ted Mann and Jose Quintero, whose centennial anniversary occurs in 2024.

The Great Canadian Theatre Company with the County of Carleton Law Association will be presenting Friedrich Dürrenmatt's The Visit from May 31st to June 3rd for the 23rd Annual Lawyer Play Fundraiser. Justice is a common theme in the works of Swiss playwright Dürrenmatt, and so it is fitting that a cast of lawyers and legal professionals will be in the spotlight playing villains, victims and criminals.

He was 93.

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures today announced the first round of exhibition rotations, which are scheduled for the 2022–2023 season. These rotations further the museum’s mission to advance the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema through dynamic and diverse exhibitions.

The highly anticipated opening of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures will finally be happening when the Academy Museum open its doors to the general public September 30, 2021. Located at the corner of Fairfax Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard, the former site of the May Company Department store, the Academy Museum has added a spherical extension designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano with the Renzo Piano Building Workshop. The 300,000 square foot Academy Museum houses more than 50,000 square feet of gallery space, offices, two movie theatres, and a 10,000 square foot grand lobby just named in honor of Sir Sidney Poitier. From June 5th to June 8th, Great Canadian Theatre Company and the County of Carleton Law Association will be presenting the 20th Annual Lawyer Play Fundraiser. A cast of 23 local lawyers and judges will perform War of Two Worlds, a new work and adaptation by GCTC's Artistic Director and Managing Director, Eric Coates and Hugh Neilson, with apologies to Orson Welles. The production is a radio-play-within-a-play, following an ensemble of voice actors in the late 1940s as they attempt to save their radio station while recreating Orson Welles' The War of the Worlds.

Green Space is pleased to announce a diverse roster of artists for its signature programs this June. Take Root will present an evening of work by Angharad Davies and Amber Sloan, curated by Aviva Geismar on June 14th and 15th, and Fertile Ground showcases works-in-progress by multiple dance artists on June 16th.
