Connecticut rock band Goose, currently in the midst of a career-defining summer tour, released the newest episode of their behind-the-scenes video series, Day of Show. Shot and directed by Bryan Murphy, the intimate video captures Goose’s epic pair of sold-out shows at New York City’s legendary venue, Radio City Music Hall.
Written by singer/guitarist Rick Mitarotonda, “Arrow” captures Goose’s commanding display of fluid musicianship and creative intentionality with rich, soaring melodies that shine brightly alongside pulsing drums, and saxophone courtesy of Stuart Bogie (Arcade Fire, The Hold Steady). The album was recorded, at Figure 8 studios over the course of two weeks, with producer and engineer Phil Weinrobe (Adrianne Lenker, Buck Meek) and features an impressive cast of players including Cass McCombs, Stuart Bogie, Shahzad Ismaily, Felix Walworth, Gyða Valtýsdóttir and Doug Wieselman. Craig Finn has announced a run of live shows beginning June 28 at the Turf Club in St. Paul, MN. Finn and his band, The Uptown Controllers then travel down to Evanston, IL, and make a stop at Milwaukee, WI's SummerFest before heading to the Raccoon Hotel in Davenport, IA on July 1.
