Steven Sutcliffe Biography

Steven Sutcliffe originated the role of Younger Brother in the Broadway musical Ragtime, for which he received a Theatre World Award. He has played leading roles in theaters across Canada, including seasons doing the classics at the Strat­ford and Shaw Festivals. Recent theater work includes Twelfth Night (Soulpep­per Theatre Company), The Mill on the Floss (Worldstage Festival), and The Great Plays of the Millennium (CBC Radio). Most recently he has been busy workshopping Goldman and Grossman's Tom Jones and Maltby and Shire's Take Flight.

The Canadian Premiere production of¬†Harry Potter and the Cursed Child¬†has released additional tickets from $69 for sale just in time for the gift-giving season.¬† Ten more weeks¬†of¬†performances will be added, March 21 ‚Äď June 4, 2023.¬†¬†The new block of tickets goes on sale on Saturday December 10, 2022¬†at¬†9:45 AM ET¬†in celebration¬†of¬†Platform 9¬†¬ĺ¬†at King's Cross train station in London.¬†¬†

Sarah Afful who plays 'Hermione Granger' in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Toronto will be on maternity leave beginning September 30, 2022 as she prepares to welcome her second child. Temporarily replacing Sarah during her leave is Antoinette Robinson from the Broadway company who will make her Canadian stage debut.

All new photos have beenn released from the Canadian Premiere production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child began performances on Tuesday May 31st and officially opens on Sunday June 19th, 2022 at the CAA Ed Mirvish Theatre.
