Barrington Stage Company's 2023 season opener, Cabaret (June 18-July 8), is now on stage. The production stars Krysta Rodriguez (NBC's 'Smash,' Broadway's Into the Woods revival, The Collaboration, Deaf West Theatre's Spring Awakening) as Sally Bowles, BSC Associate Artist Alysha Umphress (BSC's Who Could Ask for Anything More?, Mr. Saturday Night, Broadway's On the Town, American Idiot) as Fraulein Kost, and Richard Kline ('Three's Company,' Don't Think Twice, Broadway's Waitress, Wicked First National Tour) as Herr Schultz.

Picture a once-grand German deco musical palace, now a symbol of resilience in disrepair, jutting out into the audience. Raw, dirty, visceral — the music promises to leave you breathless. Around the Sun, the episodic audio drama featuring award-winning talent from stage and screen, launches its second season on Wednesday, October 26.. New episodes drop weekly throughout fall.

Westport Country Playhouse is staging the comic satire, “Straight White Men,” by Young Jean Lee, from now through June 5, directed by Mark Lamos, Playhouse artistic director. The show’s 2018 Broadway run made Lee the first Asian American female playwright to have a work produced there.

Westport Country Playhouse will present “Straight White Men: Dig Deeper,” a series of special events, free-of-charge and open to the community, surrounding the comedy, “Straight White Men,” playing May 24 – June 5. The events will enhance the community's insight on the production and its themes.
