Following its successful premiere last year, Richard Chappell Dance has announced the return of its latest work Hot House, which tours this spring to venues throughout the country.

This autumn, Richard Chappell Dance present two programmes of work across the UK. Featuring a tour of Infinite Ways Home to Swansea, Ormskirk and Milton Keynes alongside Home Revisited, an evening celebrating the vibrant dance talent in South West England.

Richard Chappell's first full-length production for a mid-scale stage, Infinite Ways Home sees six performers explore their perceptions of reality through other-worldly experiences, connecting ideas of Celtic traditions of ritual with modern day experiences of rave culture.

Exeter Northcott Futures is a programme of support and professional development resources for theatre-makers in the South West. Now in its second year the Futures programme works with early-career artists, producers and local companies to ensure that Devon is a place in which theatre-makers can develop their creative practice and pursue a career in the arts. 

Opening the season on the 24 March is a timely filmed reimagining of the Company’s 2018 work Still Touch. The piece explores the weight felt on the body when a person is denied human contact and the lightness that can be found through connecting with people. Filmed by Dan Martin, the work sees two dancers perform alongside two human sculptures by renowned artist Anna Gillespie to a score by Samuel Hall.

Exeter Northcott Theatre has unveiled the three South West theatre makers who will create new work as part of its newly-launched Associate Company Programme.

The Royal Opera House is throwing open its doors every Sunday in November for an immersive new festival programme at just £5 per person. Exclusive pop-up opera and ballet performances will animate the new Royal Opera House spaces; upcycling workshops will transform props of the past; and dance workshops will help you to limber up before you fall down the rabbit hole with Alice to drink tea at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Each weekend, audiences are encouraged to feel something new, with a unique range of daytime events and activities for all ages.
