Nick Sandys is an actor, director, fight choreographer, v/o artist and teacher based in Chicago. He was an ensemble member at both Remy Bumppo Theatre Company and at First Folio Theatre, is a Resident Fight Director at Lyric Opera of Chicago, is a Member of The Society of American Fight Directors College of Fight Masters, and has been adjunct faculty at The Theatre School at DePaul since 1995. He has performed at numerous Chicagoland theatres, including Northlight, Paramount, Chicago Shakespeare, Goodman, Writers', Next, Drury Lane Oakbrook, and Light Opera Works, as well as regionally and Off-Broadway. His fights have also been seen across Chicagoland, with over 70 operas at Lyric and over 25 shows at Goodman, as well as regionally, on and off Broadway, and at The Metropolitan Opera in NYC. He has received 22 Joseph Jefferson Nominations, as actor, director, producer, and fight director, winning for his fight choreography in "Requiem For A Heavyweight" in 2008. He was named Chicago Magazine's "Best Actor" in 2011, was an Audie Finalist in 2019 for his narration of Bram Stoker's DRACULA, and is a recipient of a 2011 Achievement Award from The Meier Charitable Foundation For The Arts.
