In response to the COVID-19 crisis and the loss of employment of artists across the country, actors Olivia Valli and Fiona McIntyre have released What's Your Backup Plan? to highlight ways in which artists have found inspiration in between jobs, created their own businesses, and reimagined the path to a fulfilling career.

It all starts with a 911 call. Police direct officers to the scene; body cams are activated, and dashboard video is engaged.  Roll tape.  Police encounter the crime scene in its entirety and record every corner, but they need more information.  Suspects are taken to interrogation rooms, witnesses share their impressions, and family members' reactions are recorded.  Law enforcement narrow in on an answer to the crime, and they know they have one tool to thank. In these cases, memories may be fallible, but the tapes are forever.  THE MURDER TAPES premieres on Wednesday, August 28th at 10/9ct, only on Investigation Discovery.

To Let Go and Fall is a breathtakingly beautiful, moving play that gives its subject matter its dues. 

Theater Latte Da announces the cast for award-winning playwright Harrison David Rivers' (Five Points) latest play, To Let Go and Fall. This newest play-with-music by Rivers marks his eighth produced work. New York-based director Sherri Eden Barber helms the production in the Twin Cities with original music composed by Minneapolis-based Jelloslave cellists Jacqueline Ultan and Michelle Kinney. Performances begin May 29 at the Ritz Theater (345 13th Avenue NE in Minneapolis). Single tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Latteda.org or by calling 612-339-3003.

Theater Latte Da hosts the National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT)'s New Work Roundtable from Thursday, July 19 - Friday, July 20 as part of this year's NEXT Festival.

Theater Latte Da (TLD) announces the slate of artists and projects for this year's NEXT Festival. Four dynamic new works from Angelica Cheri and Ross Baum, Jelloslave cellists Michelle Kinney and Jacqueline Ultar, Michael Gruber, Harrison David Rivers, Nikki Swoboda, Ryan Underbakke and Matt Spring, and Max Wojtanowicz will each receive workshops and public readings beginning Sunday, July 15. The NEXT Festival is part of TLD's NEXT 20/20, a robust new work initiative aimed at developing 20 new musicals or plays-with-music by 2020, shepherding many of them to full production. Past NEXT Festivals have offered audiences a first look at new musicals that have gone on to full production including C. (2015) and Five Points (2018).

Broadway Bound Kids' third annual Broadway Bee, which took place on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Le Poisson Rouge, was a major success, raising over $40,000 in funding for performing arts education opportunities for NYC youth. A comedic adult spelling bee, the Broadway Bee, featured actors from hit Broadway shows competing in a hilarious live event. Lee Aaron Rosen from the Tony Award nominated Broadway revival of Angels in America took home the coveted Broadway Bee trophy.

Monday night in NYC, at Le Poisson Rouge, Broadway Bound Kids scored an impressive success with their second Broadway Bee competition; hosted by Rebecca Feldman and Jay Reiss, creators of The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee. Check out photos from the event below!
