BIO
Described by the New York Times as a “gifted pianist and composer,” Marc Chan is also a lyricist and book writer. Selected musicals: YOU AND ME (with Barbara Hammond); REMEMBER ME (with Mia Chung); GEORGE (with Sam Wessels). He has written music for plays (TERRA FIRMA) and film (MY WOUNDED HEAD). Marc is also a music director and arranger (GOD SAVE QUEEN PAM). His music has been performed at Carnegie Hall, Le Poisson Rouge, the Smithsonian, and can be heard on Mode Records and OgreOgress. He has participated in Prospect Theater’s 2020 Musical Theater Lab (THE FINAL SEANCE OF HARRY HOUDINI) and wrote the opening number for QUORUM (THE INSIDERS). Marc is a member of the New Dramatists Composer-Librettist Studio and the BMI Advanced Musical Theater Workshop.

Skylight Music Theatre will offer free virtual performances of the newest edition of KidsWrites beginning April 18, 2022. This year's theme is Fun! and will be released on Skylight's website in four segments: Monday, April 18, Monday, April 25, Monday, May 2 and Monday, May 9.

Astoria Performing Arts Center (Dev Bondarin, Artistic Director), in association with Teresa Lotz, presents six new musical shorts written in response to the COVID-19 crisis. Featuring the work of fifteen writers, six directors, and a large number of actors, the contributing artists joined the project in the early days of the crisis in the spirit of developing new work without being in the same room to do so.

Whereas many in the city of New York may be seeking a little 'Markle Sparkle' on this side of the pond, Tawnydog Productions has announced that the world premiere of Erin Murray Quinlan's lighthearted and whimsical new Off Broadway musical comedy GOD SAVE QUEEN PAM will take placeon Thursday, the twenty-first day of June, Two Thousand and Eighteen with a limited engagement run through the twenty ninth day of July in the same year of our Lord.
