MAGGIE, the highly anticipated new Canadian musical, officially opens tonight at Theatre Aquarius. Due to demand, additional matinee performances are now on sale for Wednesday, April 26 at 11am and Sunday, May 7 at 1:30pm.

 Theatre Aquarius has announced the creative team for MAGGIE, the new Canadian musical produced in association with originating Come From Away producer Michael Rubinoff and multi-award winning recording artist Johnny Reid. 

Working once again with JUNO-winning producer Russell Broom (Jann Arden, Paul McCartney, Lindsay Ell), the 10 songs on A Traveler’s Lament display the Alberta-based singer/songwriter’s ever-evolving skills at combining country, blues, R&B and rock ‘n’ roll, all driven by his powerful voice and engaging storytelling.

(CMRRA), a SoundExchange company, announced today that Paul Shaver has been named President. Shaver previously served as Vice President at Nielsen Entertainment Canada, where he was instrumental in the launch of the Music Connect platform in Canada that provides improved data transparency to publishers and the music industry at large.  He also more than doubled the number of monitored radio stations so publishers and rights organizations would have 24/7 airplay monitoring.  Shaver's appointment reflects a focus on refining and expanding the services CMRRA provides the publishing community.
