3 Weeks Until 'Impossible Theories of Us' at the Neurodivergent New Play Series this November. John Mabey's sci-fi dramedy will be presented on Nov 19th at 2pm, directed by Zinc Tong as part of Piccione Arts's ongoing play series dedicated to neurodivergent empowerment.

This November, the Neurodivergent New Play Series - an ongoing production of Piccione Arts curated by spit&vigor - will present a staged reading of Impossible Theories of Us - written by John Mabey, directed by Zinc Tong & starring Denny and Samekh Resh - at spit&vigor's BlackBox Theater.

The Neurodivergent New Play Series has announced its first five play selections to be presented at the Vino Theater, located at 274 Morgan Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. Beginning in September, performances will be held the 3rd Sunday of the month at 2pm EST.

But it's how he leaves that alters the lives of the family forever, especially after they meet Arnie, Michael's boyfriend. Mirroring the erratic path of grief itself, A Complicated Hope flashes between the moments in time that changed them all, exploring the challenges of both finding a family of choice and letting yourself be found. Earlier this year, Kentwood Players presented a reading of Mabey's play in which Shawn Lefty Plunkett portrayed the role of Arnie. I was curious to find out what led to his decision to produce the fully-staged West Coast premiere of A Complicated Hope as well as take on the role of Arnie again.
