James FitzGerald has most recently appeared with PICT Classic Theatre in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Woman in Black: playing Dr. Sloper, The Heiress, Didi, Waiting for Godot, Clov, Endgame, Tieresius Oedipus, Thomasheen Sean Rua, Sive, Shylock Merchant of Venice, Dinzie, Sharon’s Grave, Fagin, Oliver Twist, Jacquis,,AYLI, as well as over 30 other PICT productions. Other Pittsburgh credits include appearances with Kinetric Theater, City Theatre, Quantum Theatre, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Opera Theater, and Pittsburgh Playhouse. Regional credits: Marriot’s Lincolnshire Theater, Chicago’s Second City, ETC., The Royal George, Apple Tree, among other Chicago venues including appearing sixteen seasons with Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Other regional credits include Urbanite Theatre (Sarasota FL), Cape May Stage, Milwaukee Rep, the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival, North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Baltimore Shakespeare Festival. Awards: Recipient of two Joseph Jefferson Awards (Best Supporting Actor), a Jeff Citation (Best Actor), Jeff nomination for Best Actor, and an OE Award Nomination (Best Supporting Actor). James is a company member of PICT and Featured Artist in 2014. He was also named Performer of the Year 2016 by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Review: EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD at Castle Craig Players

On Saturday, December 3, 2022, I had the pleasure of seeing EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD, which is easily the funniest stage comedy I have seen in the last three years!  It is yet another first-rate Christmas comedy production performed by the Castle Craig Players at the Almira F. Stephan Memorial Playhouse in Meriden, CT.  EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD is a hilarious satirical farce written by Michael Carleton, James Fitzgerald, and John K. Alvarez.  It is brilliantly directed by Bobby and Carleigh Schultz.  It stars the highly talented trio of Chris Brooks, Rick Bennett, and Bobby Schultz.
