Chain Theatre will present the world premiere production of 99-year-old NYC resident Helena Wienrauch’s A WILL TO LIVE, directed by Rick Hamilton and introducing Masha King.

The Chain One Act Festival is currently accepting submissions. All performances will take place in their newly renovated 99-seat Off-Broadway theater in the heart of midtown. Original works 10 minutes to 60 minutes in length will be accepted.

The critically-acclaimed Chain Theatre has announced the world premiere production of G.D. Kimble’s WHAT PASSES FOR COMEDY, directed by Chain Managing Director Rick Hamilton. WHAT PASSES FOR COMEDY will play a limited engagement at Chain Theatre.

CHAIN THEATRE will present the world premiere production of Sophie McIntosh's (Ipswich) macbitches, directed by Ella Jane New (Six Corners). macbitches will play a limited engagement at Chain Theatre. Performances begin Friday, August 19 and continue through Saturday, September 10. Opening Night is Sunday, August 21 (3 p.m.). 

The Chain Theatre has announced their latest expansion at 312 W. 36th Street, now home to theaters and studios on both the 3rd and 4th floor of the building.

The Chain has announced free Zoom readings of WHITE KNUCKLE by Juan Ramirez, Jr. Thursday, March 18th at 7PM and Saturday, March 20th at 7PM.

Chain Theatre continues its commitment to developing new plays by diverse artists and underrepresented voices through the 2021 Chain Playwriting Lab.

Chain Theatre (Kirk Gostkowski, Artistic Director) presents its sixth annual Chain Playwriting Lab, with staged readings running Feb 10-15, 2020 at 7:30pm each night at the Chain Theatre, 312 West 36th Street, 4th floor, NYC, 10018. Admission is free for the staged readings, but reservations are required.

?Samovar Subway Ensemble has announced a Hollywood Fringe Festival production of The Gentrification Cycle, two short plays written by G.D. Kimble and directed by Christina Cigala. Jen Tries Vacation and Locomotive Repair in Three Easy Steps will feature (in alphabetical order) Jon Gentry, Emily McLeod, Suzan Mikiel, Adam Tomei, Brian Wallace, Claire Winters, and Allison Youngberg. There will be five performances at the Dorie Theatre @ The Complex in Hollywood - Friday 6/3 at 7:30pm (press preview); Thursday 6/9 at 9pm; Thursday 6/16 at 7pm; Thursday 6/23 at 10:30pm; and Friday 6/24 at 6:45pm. Total running time will be 70 minutes.

The LABUTE NEW THEATER FESTIVAL is now onstage at 59E59 Theaters through February 7th. Six fascinating one-act plays are receiving their New York Premiere.

59E59 Theaters will welcome the St. Louis Actors' Studio?with the NYC premiere of their acclaimed LaBUTE NEW THEATER FESTIVAL, an evening of one-act plays featuring new plays by Neil LaBute, Lexi Wolfe, Peter Grandbois & Nancy Bell, G.D. Kimble, JJ Strong, and John Doble. Directed by Milton Zoth and John Pierson, the LaBUTE NEW THEATER FESTIVAL begins performances on Wednesday, January 13 for a limited engagement through Sunday, February 7.  Press opening is Sunday, January 17 at 7:30 PM.  The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM & 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM & 7:30 PM. If on a Winter's Night…, Everyday Inferno's inaugural winter production of one-act plays directed by women, will play a week-long engagement from December 5th through December 8th, 2013 at the Access Theatre Gallery (380 Broadway, NYC 10013). The three plays featured in the evening are Jen Tries Vacation - written by G.D. Kimble (LaBute New Theatre Festival) and directed by Ana?s Koivisto (Artistic Director, Everyday Inferno), People Will Talk About You Sometimes - written by Sarah Matusek and directed by Taylor Reynolds, and The Policy - written by A.C. DeLashmutt and directed by Katherine Sommer (Producing Director, Everyday Inferno).
