BIO

Erin J. Reifler is an award-winning New York-based composer & librettist, music director, and trombonist. Music Assisting credits include: WEST SIDE STORY (Broadway Revival, substitute), CYRANO (Off-Broadway), ORATORIO FOR LIVING THINGS (Ars Nova), BROADWAY VACATION (Reading), IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY (Reading, transcriptions), REUNION '69 (Le Poisson Rouge), JEANNETTE (Subculture, Eugene O'Neill Theater Center), EDDIE THE MARVELOUS (Eugene O'Neill Theater Center), HOME STREET HOME (Eugene O'Neill Theater Center).



Recent writing credits include LIGHT ON THE WATER (NYU Tisch), RED ROSE (NYU Tisch), JILL (NYU Tisch), BACK O’TOWN (Midtown International Theatre Festival, Nom. Best Music & Best Lyrics) THE TROMBONE LESSON (Manhattan Rep. Winner 10-Minute Play Competition).

As a trombonist, Erin has played in over 50 musical theatre productions across the country, including College Light Opera Company. BA: Brown University MFA: NYU Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. Proud member of ASCAP and the Dramatists Guild.

Tin Pan Alley 2, a bimonthly free concert series featuring new musical theatre works, continues to foster a community of emerging musical theatre writers. In 2021, there will be six virtual concerts with 22 songwriters. Each 45-minute concert will have one specific theme: 'Love' in February; 'International Artists' in April; 'Pride' in June; 'Women+ Artists' in August; 'Halloween' in October; and 'Holidays' in December.

GOLDILOCKS Sets Premiere Performances in New York City

GOLDILOCKS, a new musical by Erin J. Reifler, will receive its New York premiere in the 2016 Thespis Theater Festival at the Hudson Guild Theater. The story takes an unconventional twist on the children's tale, where Goldilocks is a new drag performer. Performances will begin August 2nd at 6:15pm at the Hudson Guild Theater on 441 West 26th Street. Jenn Maley directs the production.
