Paper Mill Playhouse announces Patrick Parker will step down as Associate Artistic Director after 27 years with the company on September 30, 2022.   Parker will continue on a consulting basis, assisting with the transition and consulting on a variety of special projects.

Paper Mill Playhouse announced that the theater’s annual Gala, which was held at the Hilton Short Hills on Friday, May 20, was sold out and raised almost $1.2 million with the most successful Live Auction in Paper Mill's 84-year history.

Whitefire Theatre presents a new musical entertainment from actor-vocalist-keyboardist-playwright-composer-lyricist Ana Guigui, Where Do We Go from Here? A Pandemic Cabaret. Its song cycle spans a number of genres, from pop to blues to tango and more.

A Pride month edition of Quarantunes, a series of invite-only online concerts hosted by WME Partner Richard Weitz and his daughter Demi Weitz, raised $867,767 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS on Saturday, June 27, 2020. This is the highest single fundraising total ever raised by a Quarantunes Zoom stream.

WaterTower Theatre will round out its 2019-2020 season with a special limited-engagement, concert-style production of the inspiring 1960s musical Golden Boy. Adapted from the 1930s drama by Clifford Odets, and featuring a book by Odets and William Gibson, Golden Boy tells the story of Joe Wellington, a young black man trying to rise from the Harlem ghetto as a prizefighter. Wellington, originated on Broadway in 1964 by the iconic Sammy Davis, Jr., is enticed by the boxing world's promise of fame and fortune, but he makes one critical mistake: falling for his manager's white girlfriend, Lorna.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce Walker Vreeland's FROM SHIP TO SHAPE will be performed one night only on Monday, June 10 at 7 pm. The show comes to the East End following an extended sold-out run Off-Broadway. The solo performance stars and is written by award-winning radio personality Walker Vreeland. The show is a compelling autobiographical monologue and includes songs performed by Mr. Vreeland.

Following his sold-out, extended Off- Broadway run, solo performer and award-winning radio personality Walker Vreeland will bring his musical autobiographical monologue FROM SHIP TO SHAPE back to Bay Street Theatre on June 10th.

Renowned vocal coach, Bob Marks will be teaching two musical theatre audition and performance workshops as a guest instructor at Theatrical Artist's Prep in Scotch Plains New Jersey. Each workshop is limited to 12 students and is open to kids 7-13 years old and teens/adults 14 years old and older. The workshops will take place on Sunday, April 14th from 10:00am-1:00pm and 1:30pm-4:30pm. The session will include tips on song selection, dealing with accompanists, lyric interpretation, and preparing for 'real world' theatre audition situations.
