Art Gallery of South Australia Director Rhana Devenport ONZM has announced she will leave the Gallery on 7 July after six years. She will be returning to Sydney and looks forward to embarking on a series of new international and national projects.

In the context of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU and to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the publication of the Surrealist Manifesto (1924), Bozar is celebrating 100 years of surrealism with a unique exhibition dedicated to the avant-garde movement in Belgium.

In the spring of 2024, Belgium takes over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This provides the ideal opportunity for Bozar to present an original Belgian programme, with three exhibitions focusing on emblematic figures in the history of Belgian art.
