Broadway In Chicago has announced complete casting for BOOP! The Betty Boop Musical at Broadway In Chicago’s CIBC Theatre live on stage for the first time for a limited five-week engagement, November 19 - December 24.

The critically-acclaimed Chain Theatre has announced the world premiere production of G.D. Kimble’s WHAT PASSES FOR COMEDY, directed by Chain Managing Director Rick Hamilton. WHAT PASSES FOR COMEDY will play a limited engagement at Chain Theatre.

With its bold, brilliant, sassy, urbanely funny, and warmly heartfelt production of KINKY BOOTS, Maine State Music Theatre has chosen the perfect vehicle to close its main stage season. The irresistible musical by Harvey Fierstein and Cyndi Lauper is given a spectacular, big-hearted production that pulls out all the stops and showcases MSMT at its Broadway best.

Maine State Music Theatre’s second main stage production, perennial favorite, JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, takes the Pickard stage by storm, exploding with color, energy, and sheer irrepressible joy. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s early collaboration based on the Book of Genesis has as its central metaphor the coat of many colors, and like that kaleidoscopic garment, the show itself is a rich, eclectic tapestry that weaves together musical and choreographic genres, ancient and modern sensibilities, and perhaps best of all in this production – a diverse and deeply talented cast that is beautiful to behold.

The Encore’s highly anticipated production of MAMMA MIA! sails onto The Maas stage this month. Arriving on “the Island,” are performers from New York, Chicago, the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre and Dance, as well as extraordinary local talent and Encore favorites.

The Warner Bros. Pictures film fuses Lin-Manuel Miranda’s kinetic music and lyrics with director Jon M. Chu’s lively and authentic eye for storytelling that captures a world very much of its place, but universal in its experience.

A Closing Night World Premiere Screening and Conversation featuring HBO’s forthcoming limited series from Mike White (“Enlightened”), “The White Lotus” will take place on Saturday, June 19 at 7pm CT. 

The reimagining of the series is set in present-day Los Angeles and brings a diverse trio of patients in session with Brooke to help navigate a variety of modern concerns.
