Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced the addition of three new summer camps to join its already robust lineup of engaging and exciting education opportunities this upcoming July and August. Three weeklong camps focusing on screenwriting, on-camera acting, and dramaturgy, led by industry professionals, are now open for registration.

Pompano Beach Cultural Center will present for Woman to Woman: A Night of Laughter, Love, and Celebration, an evening of hilarity, community, and good vibes on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 7pm. Flushing Town Hall’s popular series, Mini-Global Mashups, will present another installment this summer on Sunday, July 24 at 1 PM EST with its Gospel Meets Côte d’Ivoire concert. 

On March 31st, BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) celebrated the best and brightest in gospel music at the 2022 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards held at the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville. BMI’s Gospel Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Publisher of the Year and the top 20 songs of the previous year were all honored at the private event hosted by BMI’s President & CEO, Mike O’Neill and BMI’s Vice President, Creative-Atlanta Catherine Brewton.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the return of Literature Live! with the staged virtual premiere of Shakespeare's Macbeth on Tuesday, November 9, at 8 p.m., followed by a talkback between the show's creators and actors. The Literature Live! presentation of Macbeth will be available via on-demand streaming starting Monday, November 8, through Sunday, December 5.

This year’s nominees reflect an abundance of creative expression and Black excellence across music, television, film, and sports. 

It was originally recorded by the Blind Boys of Alabama, who performed regularly with The Fairfield Four, the legendary quartet of whom that the sister’s father - the Reverend Samuel McCrary co-founded, so it has special meaning for them.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced that Bay Street's Director of Education & Community Outreach, Allen O'Reilly, appears in a new film, The Enormity of Life, scheduled for worldwide release on Tuesday, April 6.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the online acting workshop Scenes and Monologues from Shakespeare, an intensive rehearsal of Shakespearean scenes and monologues, begins Wednesday, January 27. The eight-session workshop is held online via Zoom on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. through March 17. Registration is $200 for adults and kids ages 13 and up; payment plans are available.
