Cinderella attends her final ball! As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Bad Cinderella's final Broadway performance is Sunday, June 4 at the Imperial Theatre. The show closes after 33 previews and 85 regular performances.

Center Theatre Group is hosting an open casting call for the four student members of the Dead Leaders Club and supporting roles in Alexis Scheer’s “Our Dear Dead Drug Lord” at Center Theatre Group / Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City playing August 20 through September 17, 2023.

Last year, during the Alley All New Festival, upon the announcement of Law & Order's Monet Hurst-Mendoza having a workshop was news that caused for myself much excitement. The workshop was not a disappointment but made me anxious to witness a full scale production. When it was announced in the 22-23 Alley Theatre season, my excitement grew not only due to the capability of a full scale production, but also the fact that Director and Choreographer, Tatiana Pandiani, would be at the helm.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bad Cinderella opens tonight, March 23, at the Imperial Theatre! Bad Cinderella features a score by Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tony Award-winner David Zippel, and is directed by Laurence Connor, with a book by Academy Award-winner Emerald Fennell and choreography by JoAnn M. Hunter.

What did our critic think of LAUGHS IN SPANISH at DCPA Theatre Company? Theatre is often boiled down into two things: comedy and tragedy. From there, the seeds take root and bloom into a plethora of unique stories. However, I often find the greatest stories capture both elements and therefore are that much stronger and beautiful a bloom. Such is the case for the newest play from DCPA, Laughs in Spanish.

With more frequency, we are starting to see alliances of theaters come together across different regions to create a stronger entity. And that isn’t a surprising development. Given the rising costs within the industry, collaboration continues to be one of the best ways to keep those costs down.
