Review: THE WITCHING HOUR, Bridewell Theatre
by Cindy Marcolina - Jul 17, 2024
We love a summer horror, but it’s rare for stages to be treated to one. With celebrity-bait 2:22 currently delighting the West End until next month, it’s only fair for the fringe to respond. The Witching Hour promises to be the right indie spooky story to spice up these miserably unsunny days, but is it really? A witch, a forest, and a script as creaky as the house the characters investigate haunt this well-meaning project. After the religious undertones, a fascinating lecture held by one Professor Dubois kicks off. The piece is propped up by rational explanations, but there are a few delicious jump-scares between the theorising of how the witch-hunts were a byproduct of the collective unconscious and the backhanded invective against the abuse of ignorance as a tool for oppression and control. Yet, it’s slightly annoying in its forceful angles.
Review: THE JUNGLE BOOK at Grant County Community Theater
by Theresa Bertram - May 16, 2024
Broadway World went on a hunt for the bare necessities when we traveled to Sheridan to see The Grant County Theater’s presentation of THE JUNGLE BOOK Friday, May 10, but instead found all sorts of wild thespians taking the stage. Written by Joseph Robinette and based on the book by Rudyard Kipling, this play was not exactly like the Disney version, but it still had a lot of the familiar characters. It was a packed house, and rightfully so. This theater grabs you when you walk into the door.

Aerial Salad Announce New Album DIRT MALL
by Kaitlin Milligan - Feb 6, 2020
Aerial Salad started as a dream, that turned into a nightmare, that thankfully worked out a dream. Conceived by frontman and guitarist Jamie Munro after he'd attended legendary punk event The FEST in Gainesville, Florida in 2016, the young Manchester Uni student was so inspired and impressed by what he'd witnessed at the festival, he had to start a band. He HAD to play that festival.
