Participants of Apples and Oranges Arts' future-forward THEatre ACCELERATOR new work development program pitch their musicals to a panel of entertainment, tech and finance industry judges in Sing Tank a live, “Shark Tank” style pitch show hosted by co-creators Pamela and Tim Kashani.

Dubbed THEatre ACCELERATOR: The Heroine's Journey in XR, Apples and Oranges Arts applies their signature use of new technology to help writers develop and distribute new musicals that forefront female identifying characters.

Tin Pan Alley 2, a free concert series featuring new musical theatre works, will present feature a panel of emerging writers on Friday, April 23rd, 2021 at 7:30pm ET.

Season Two of The Latest Draft Podcast premieres this Friday, February 12. After receiving dozens of submissions, the producers narrowed down the season to eight podcast musicals and 20 cabaret songs.

Tin Pan Alley 2, a bimonthly free concert series featuring new musical theatre works, continues to foster a community of emerging musical theatre writers. In 2021, there will be six virtual concerts with 22 songwriters. Each 45-minute concert will have one specific theme: 'Love' in February; 'International Artists' in April; 'Pride' in June; 'Women+ Artists' in August; 'Halloween' in October; and 'Holidays' in December.

'Broadway Sings Alanya Bridge' is an intimate international virtual concert featuring the music of Australian musical theatre composer Alanya Bridge and the stars of Broadway.

MPTheatricals are working in collaboration with The Other Palace to present on hope: a digital song cycle - a live, one of a kind musical theatre trilogy exploring the many shades of hope. Written by over 60 composers from around the world, on hope: a digital song cycle explores the spectrum of sounds, experiences and perspectives of hope.

Emerging musical theatre writers Alanya Bridge and Paulie Pecorella will share an evening of new songs on October 13th at The Green Room 42.  Featuring performances by Roz Cavallaro, Ethan Crystal, Ben Diamond, Mia Gerachis, Jillian Gottlieb (#DateMe), Ana Marcu (90210! THE MUSICAL!, Georama), Sarah Lynn Marion, Ben Roseberry (Gentleman's Guide, Lion King, Hercules).  Musicians will include Emily Chiu, Jacob Fjeldheim, Adam Hammer and Danny Ursetti.

Kathy Deitch (B'way WICKED, FOOTLOOSE) will host. Multiple LA Ovation Award-winning composer Gregory Nabours (THE TROUBLE WITH WORDS, MARILYN! Casting is announced for the UK premiere of Plaid Tidings, the seasonal sequel to the hugely successful West End hit musical Forever Plaid by Stuart Ross, ahead of its UK premiere at London's Bridge House Theatre SE20 from 26 November - 23 December.

Dana Aber's new solo show, BAGGAGE AT THE DOOR, performs this this today, Aug 30, 7:30pm at The Dixon Place. Baggage at the Dooris a wry peek inside the head of a seemingly well-adjusted trauma-queen- it is one woman's struggle to get through the terrors of her past and reclaim tenderness. With music written in collaboration with award-winning emerging composers, Baggage at the Dooris an autobiographical solo show addressing the critical moment when a trauma survivor realizes she may no longer be able to simply cope; when falling in love triggers her latent PTSD, she might be f*cked. This quirky and candid piece explores her attempts to break the PTSD trauma cycle and find strength to open the door toward a better life. TW: trauma TW: PTSD TW: humor.
