BIO
An accomplished stage and screen performer, she has appeared in a range of leading and ensemble roles across the U.K. Her theatre credits include Heathers The Musical (Veronica Sawyer) for Bill Kenwright Ltd., directed by Andy Fickman (2022); Lipsync at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe at Summerhall, directed by Ed Robson (2019); Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens (Judith) at the Union Theatre, directed by Bryan Hodgson (2019); the U.K. tour of Grease (Miss Lynch/1st Rizzo/2nd Jan) for David Ian Productions, directed by David Gilmore (2018); and Our House (Sarah) at the Union Theatre, directed by Michael Burgen (2015).

She was exceptional, but the musical written about her is anything but. It tends to be old-fashioned and traditional in structure, willing itself to be a majestic epic, but never reaching that stage. Her life story feels rushed and vague, the songs are run-of-the-mill, standardised, lacking that big “I want” statement that would cement her passion and drive the tale. It also all sounds the same throughout. Ultimately, it holds itself back, mainly with the quality of the writing.
