Based on personal conversations with beloved Nebraska artist, and fixture of Lincoln's Haymarket, Anne Burkholder, EARTH SKY TOMES follows the artists life, as she grows to become the treasure she is. It features original music, dance, and storytelling, and hopes to capture the unique voice and vision of Anne Burkholder, as she shares her perspective on life and art. Through her work, Anne invites us to see the breathtaking beauty of our own state, with respect, wonder and amazement. Earth Sky Tomes features Sandy Van Pelt in the role of Annie B., and Anthony Delaney in the role of Danny, with original music composed by Emily Bass, Derek Dibbern, and sung by Erin Mundus. The production is directed and choreographed by Daniel Kubert, with movement performed by Emma Benson. The stage manager is Erin Mundus, and scenic design and technical direction is by Dustin Witte. Original graphic art for the production is by Danny Reneau. This highly collaborative, original OmniArts production seeks to honor the artistic accomplishments of Anne Burkholder, while giving audience members a glimpse into her humanity, her joy, and her constant desire to learn and grow.
