The Drama Desk-nominated Off-Broadway hit John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean has partnered with StudentsLive the premiere Broadway education company, to create a special workshop called Imagine That! to take students behind-the-scenes and under the ocean at New World Stages prior to seeing a performance of the show.

The workshop is led by Dorsel and Bubbles, the puppet stars of the show, who take participants on a journey to learn about ocean life, protecting sea creatures, and the perils of pollution and the oil spill, and how everyone can help keep our oceans clean.

The exciting, interactive, educational, 45 minute workshop is $50.00 and includes:

A puppeteer demonstration by a cast member of the show
An inside look at the magic of Black Light
Ocean trivia and fact finding games and prizes, including a chance to write and perform on the ImaginOcean stage
Learning a song and dance from the show, taught by Broadway teaching artists
An exclusive Q & A chat session with a cast member
A ticket to the show's regular 11:00 AM performance

In addition, students will be given access to an online study guide that is compliant with the National Curriculum Standards.

John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean is an underwater theatrical experience like no other. The innovative glow-in-the-dark musical features extraordinary puppets, memorable original songs from swing to R&B, and a heartwarming journey of discovery for audiences of all ages. A trio of loveable fish named Tank, Bubbles, and Dorsel are best ocean friends who discover a treasure map and swim off in search of clues. They take the audience along their singing, bubbling, dancing, jiving adventure, making new friends along the way.

StudentsLive is offering several 2010 ImaginOcean workshops: September 29, October 16 and 20, November 17, December 11and 15, including special dates for the Girl Scouts of The United States Of America. Workshops are 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM, immediately followed by the 11:00 regular performance of ImaginOcean. Participants are asked to arrive at 9:30 AM.

The workshop and show are located at New World Stages (340 W. 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). For more information on workshops contact StudentsLiveat 212-220-6000, edprogram@namcousa.com, or visit www.studentslive.net
