Theatre IV of Richmond will present a lighthearted, musical rendition of The Tailor of Gloucester at 3 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 19. Tickets are $12, $8 for McLean tax district residents. The theatre is located at 1234 Ingleside Avenue.
This holiday classic by Beatrix Potter is the story of a poor tailor who works his fingers to the bone to finish a coat for the mayor's Christmas wedding, only to run out of thread. In a miraculous ending, all the animals come together to help the tailor and create a happy ending. In keeping with Beatrix Potter's use of anthropomorphism, the animals in the play not only have human characteristics, but on Christmas Eve are able to speak. The show is appropriate for children of four and older.Tickets are on sale now!
