Dorks in Dungeons has been picked up as part of The Seacoast Repertory Theater's Red Light Series and will hold their once-monthly show on Sundays this season at 7pm starting tonight, September 22.

This just in: The paranormal television show, Spirit Sniffers, will be coming to Derry, NH for a live taping at the haunted Blackwood Opera House. Owned by actress Florence Blackwood and her family, the Opera House closed in 1946 after a series of murders committed by the young actress. The spirit of Florence is rumored to still be wandering the Opera House and now you can join the Spirit Sniffers on location for their craziest investigation yet! The NH Theatre Factory presents Ghost Hunting: The Musical Murder-Mystery, an original musical comedy by Artistic Director Joel Mercier. Two paranormal investigators, the show's sleazy producer, a crack-pot psychic, and one nasty nun attempt to make contact with the spirit of Florence Blackwood. The taping goes from bad to complete disaster when not only does a ghostly sighting occur, but someone winds up dead! Was it the ghost or someone of flesh and blood who committed the murder? Comedy, mystery, musical numbers, special effects, and an audience-voted ending making each night a different performance creates the perfect Halloween event you won't soon forget!

From September 19th - October 6th , Patrick Dorow Productions will be producing Nunsense A-Men, their second musical production with the Players' Ring, featuring Bill Humphreys, Scottie McLaughlin, Kirk Simpson, Patrick Dorow and Josh Moore as the Sisters of Hoboken. The collaborative relationship between Patrick Dorow Productions (PDP) and the Players' Ring has been very valuable to PDP and they look forward to co-producing future projects.

Comedian John Pinette's show originally scheduled for September 27th at Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord has been moved to Friday, January 10th at 8pm. Pinette has announced he is checking into a rehabilitation clinic this month after developing an addiction to a drug prescribed following surgery earlier in the year. Tickets purchased to the original date will be honored January 10th. A full refund is available at the original point of purchase for those who cannot attend the new date. Tickets for the January 10th show are on-sale now at ccanh.com, (603) 225-1111, or at the Capitol Center for the Arts Box Office. Tickets are $35.75 plus applicable service charges. This is an all ages show.

Dreaming Again, originally commissioned by the NH Humanities Council in 2011, will be touring the state of New Hampshire again this fall, in collaboration with Mariposa Museum in Peterborough. Written by Genevieve Aichele, Dreaming Again features the stories of New Hampshire immigrants and refugees over the past 100 years. Music director Agnes Charlesworth has included traditional music from all over the world, played by Peter Motson on keyboard, Cynthia Chatis on flute, and Theo Martey on West African percussion. Actors include NHTP company members CJ Lewis and Heather Glenn Wixson, and guest artists Claire White and Dan Acor.

On Sunday, September 22, 2013 The Capital Jazz Orchestra and New York City clarinet virtuoso Ken Peplowski will salute the 75rd anniversary of this momentous concert…recreating that very show, to the minute! Benny Goodman's 1938 show at Carnegie Hall in New York has been billed as the world's most famous jazz concert, a ground-breaking event that brought jazz into the mainstream. The concert featured such swing icons as Lionel Hampton, Harry James, Gene Krupa, Count Basie, Lester Young and Johnny Hodges and included such timeless jazz classics as "Don't Be That Way," "Avalon," and the iconic swing performance of "Sing, Sing, Sing."

The William H. Gile Series presents ASPHALT ORCHESTRA at the Capitol Center for the Arts on Tuesday, September 10, at 7:30 p.m. Since its inception in 2009 Asphalt Orchestra has energized audiences from New York's Lincoln Center to London's Barbican Centre, and throughout the US.
