Dorks in Dungeons LIVE! Onstage, the dice-rolling fantasy improv comedy show will hold their once-monthly show Sunday Feb 23 at 7pm at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre This month, they continue their absurd ongoing adventure in a two hour comedy extravaganza. This month they are joined by guest improviser Timothy Jacobs, a local actor and fixture of Seven Stages Shakespeare Company. Local game-makers Games by Playdate will be running demonstrations of some of their games for guests during the social hour prior to the show

New Hampshire Theatre Project's Intelligent Theatre Festival Set for 3/21-30

Back by popular demand! The Intelligent Theatre Festival, which premiered in April 2013, is expanding to TWO weekends of provocative scripts and screenplays. Each reading is professionally directed by members of the NHTP resident company. Designed to expand awareness of NHTP's mission of collaborative theatre, Festival readers are a team of professional actors, students and community members - all of them donating their time and talent. The ITF offers audiences a chance to hear and discuss interesting, thought-provoking plays that might not otherwise be produced in the seacoast area. The 2014 Intelligent Theatre Festival is dedicated to the late Frank Aguilar, NHTP supporter and frequent audience member. Frank's wife Gillian will be reading in The Deadly Game, one of Frank's favorite scripts.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning drama by Arthur Miller is being produced for the first time at The Players' Ring in Portsmouth, directed by Dan Stowell and Kaitlyn Huwe. The two previously directed 12 Angry Men at The Players Ring in 2012. Pontine Theatre continues its 3-event Cafe-Lyceum Series with Pretty Halcyon Days: On the Beach with Ogden Nash. Pontine's Cafe-Lyceums feature refreshments and conversation along with scenes from one of Pontine Theatre's popular original plays based on New England literature. Pretty Halcyon Days is based on the life and work of "America's Master of Light Verse." Ogden Nash and his family spent their summers on Little Boar's Head, in North Hampton, NH. Using examples from Pontine's original staging of his poems, this program explores the ways in which Nash's life on the New Hampshire seashore influenced his poetry, lending insight into the man, his character, and his ideas about family, society, and nature.
