“She offers the pleasure of brazen theatrical inventiveness.” —New Yorker
“My work has never been about lecturing and bullying people,” says Young Jean Lee. “It’s been about tricking and confusing them into submission in a playful/fanged way.” For her second Walker commission, this theatrical provocateur presents an experimental, disorienting revue designed to expand our sense of what a person could be outside the bounds of traditional gender categories. In Untitled Feminist Show, six powerful and charismatic performers employ music, dance, and spectacle to take the audience on a delirious journey through an array of unexpected possibilities.
