'Red, White And Tuna' At The Waterfront

The Waterfront Playhouse will conclude their 71st season with the comedy 'Red, White and Tuna' by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard. Opening on Thursday, May 5th 'Tuna' runs until May 21 with performances Wednesday to Saturday. Please note that all curtain times are at 8:30. Directed by Cameron Murray, 'Red, White and Tuna' features two of Key West's most versatile actors, David Black and Mark Watson, who will portray the entire cast of over 25 characters. The production is sponsored by Conch Color with the opening night party sponsored by Jeff Johnson and Hy Conrad.

In a major coup for the Boca Raton regional theater, Caldwell Theatre Company has successfully booked legendary film and television star Ed Asner to star in a one man show, FDR by Dore Schary. FDR explores the life of one of America's best-loved presidents and the events and decisions that shaped a nation. This powerful play follows the iconic president as he reflects on his years in office, from inauguration to the trials of World War II.
The Future Of Broadway Training This Summer At Broadway Theatre Project

This July, two hundred apprentices from all over the country (as well as the UK and Canada) will head to the University of South Florida to participate in Broadway Theatre Project, an intense three-week training session in all things musical theatre. The apprentices, who range in age from 16-24, are taught acting, singing and dancing by industry professionals who have appeared on Broadway, in television and in major motion pictures. Tampa Bay-area alums who are now faculty members and will be returning to teach this summer (schedules permitting) include: Kelly King, currently the dance captain of the Radio City Rockettes, Monica Raymund, currently appearing in the TV show Lie to Me on Fox and Patrick Wilson, whose latest film Insidious is currently in theatres nationwide.

The ADDYs are the advertising and marketing industry's most significant awards competition, with more than 60,000 entries annually. The Adrienne Arsht Center's 6 awards recognized marketing efforts and advertising pieces surrounding a number of shows and programs, including the 2010 Jazz Roots series, Babalu, the Center's summer 2010 brochure, and the Adrienne Arsht Center 2010 specialty holiday chocolates package.
