Christine Pedi's Great Dames Cabaret
Gulfshore Playhouse in partnership with The Norris Center will present Christine Pedi's Great Dames Cabaret on April 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m. The evening will include wine and snacks in a New York-style jazz club setting.
Long time Forbidden Broadway Diva Christine Pedi sings songs about and made famous by the great ladies of the stage, screen and beyond. With comic flair & warm appreciation, she conjures up Ethel Merman, Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand, Julie Andrews and more as well as classic tunes first popularized by many a great dame (real or imagined). Christine Pedi's Great Dames has won the 2008 New York NightLife Award, Backstage Bistro Award, Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs nomination and "Top Ten Memorable Theatre Moments of the Year" on BroadwayWorld.com.
"I am delighted to be able to continue our Cabaret Series in Partnership with the Norris Center. This is something that the audience always enjoys as we set up the theatre at the Norris Center in a whole new way. With long tables, wine and snacks, we transform the room into an authentic New York-style cabaret," notes Kristen Coury, Founder and Producing Artistic Director.
Christine is a Drama Desk nominee and an LA Ovation award-winner for her roles in Forbidden Broadway and Forbidden Hollywood. On Broadway, she appeared in Eric Bogosian's Talk Radio starring Liev Schrieber, and Little Me starring Martin Short and Faith Prince. Other stage roles include Edith Wharton's Xingu, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Dalliance in Vienna at the American Theatre of Actors and A Broadway Diva Christmas.
Christine Pedi's Great Dames Cabaret will perform April 27 & 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the Norris Center, 755 8th Avenue South in Downtown Naples, FL. Tickets are $45, which includes wine and snacks and are available by calling The Norris Center at 239-213-3049.
