Katalyst is a nine-piece ensemble from Inglewood, California, led by drummer, composer, and producer Greg Paul. The collective creates an eclectic mix of experimental contemporary jazz, with members including pianist Brandon Cordoba, saxophonist David Otis, Grammy-winning trombonist Jonah Levine, and others. Their debut album Nine Lives was released in 2020, followed by Speakeasy in 2025. This performance is part of the Skirball's free outdoor Sunset Concerts series, held in the Taper Courtyard.
