Brandee Younger is a harpist, composer, and bandleader whose music bridges spiritual jazz, classical training, R&B, and hip-hop. Her 2021 Impulse! Records debut Somewhere Different earned her a Grammy nomination in Best Instrumental Composition, making her the first Black female solo artist to receive that recognition. Her 2023 album Brand New Life won the 2024 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Jazz Album, and her 2025 release Gadabout Season focuses on her original music. This performance is part of the Skirball's free outdoor Sunset Concerts series.
