Kassa Overall is an artist who challenges traditional jazz structures, finding a distinctive voice in the process. This performance is part of the Skirball's free outdoor Sunset Concerts series, which this year celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States by honoring jazz as a uniquely American musical invention. Concerts are held in the Taper Courtyard with the Santa Monica Mountains as a backdrop.
