The Los Angeles Master Chorale presents its 37th Annual High School Choir Festival on May 1, 2026, at Walt Disney Concert Hall, featuring more than 1,200 high school singers from 41 Southern California schools — the largest gathering in the Festival's history. The mass choir will perform under the direction of Grant Gershon, the Chorale's Kiki & David Gindler Artistic Director, and guest artist Cindy Ellis, a Cuban American choral director and jazz vocalist whose ensembles have performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and BBC Proms London Festival. The program includes works by Handel, Jacob Collier, and Abbie Betinis, alongside a special performance by 16 Master Chorale singers conducted by Associate Artistic Director Jenny Wong, and a live demonstration of the Concert Hall's organ by John West. The Festival, which has engaged more than 34,000 students since its founding in 1989, will also feature a visual tribute to the late architect Frank Gehry.
