The California Festival is a statewide music showcase spotlighting the most compelling and forward-looking voices in performances of works written in the past five years.
As part of the festival, the LA Phil will present concerts ranging from songs of Latin American protest led by Gustavo Dudamel to world premieres from cutting-edge composers to recitals with trailblazers.

The Philharmonic Society of Orange County and Soka Performing Arts Center will present American Railroad with Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning Rhiannon Giddens and the Grammy Award-winning Silkroad Ensemble.
This November sees two world premieres by Gabriela Ortiz, both performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel.
This historic event, which marked the 20th anniversary of the iconic venue, featured Gustavo Dudamel and special guests, including the LA Phil’s Creative Chair for Jazz Herbie Hancock, dancer and choreographer Lucinda Childs, GRAMMY Award-winning R&B singer H.E.R. and violin soloist Geneva Lewis.
