Sound Waves is an immersive concert experience by the Los Angeles Master Chorale designed to calm the senses and surround audiences in music inspired by water, breath, and nature. The program features two world premieres: Hyowon Woo's SUM, with 62 singers positioned throughout the hall, and Marques L. A. Garrett's On the Seashore, alongside Reena Esmail's Malhaar: A Requiem for Water featuring vocalist Saili Oak, tabla virtuoso Abhiman Kaushal, and percussionist Ian David Rosenbaum. Additional works include Eric Whitacre's Water Night and Shenandoah arranged by James Erb, with a video installation by Camilla Tassi. The ensemble is conducted by Grant Gershon.
