Roger Rosenblatt's LIVES IN THE BASEMENT, DOES NOTHING: A WRITING LIFE At Bay Street Theater

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts is pleased to announce a new show by and starring Roger Rosenblatt entitled Lives in the Basement, Does Nothing: A Writing Life on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 at 8 pm. The show will also have "almost surprise appearances" by Amy Hempel (Friday 4/26) and Alice McDermott (Saturday 4/27). The production consultant for the show is Scott Schwartz, Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director.

Long Island's newest theatrical venue The Argyle Theatre (Mark and Dylan Perlman, Managing Partners; Evan Pappas, Artistic Director) concludes its inaugural season with the hit Tony Award-winning Broadway musical The Producers, with book by Mel Brooks and Thomas Meehan, and music & lyrics by Mel Brooks. Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center is a Major Sponsor of The Producers. Now on stage for a limited engagement through Sunday, April 20, 2019 at The Argyle Theatre (34 West Main Street, Babylon, Long Island) where performances began March 14, 2019. The show opened on March 16.

Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills, CA 90210) from Friday, April 5 through Sunday, April 14.

Benefits by Bay Street is pleased to announce All For Alabama: A Benefit Relief Concert For Tornado Victims. Many victims lost their lives and many more lost their homes and livelihoods. The concert will take place at Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts on Thursday, March 28 from 7 pm - 9 pm; emceed by Executive Director Tracy Mitchell and Southampton Town Supervisor, Jay Schneiderman.  All proceeds will be donated to United Way of Alabama.

Arthur Kopit's book takes much insight from the viewer as they switch between reality and Guido's mind. Moreover, the music, by Maury Yeston, is rich and moving.
