The Argyle is proud to present the Long Island Premiere of The Prince of Egypt — the live stage musical adaptation of the Academy Awardwinning 1998 DreamWorks film, itself inspired by the classic 1956 epic The Ten Commandments starring Charlton Heston and Yul Brynner. This sweeping musical tells the biblical story of Exodus with a powerful score by Stephen Schwartz (the Long Island–raised composer of Wicked, Godspell, and Pippin) and a book by Philip LaZebnik (Pocahontas, Mulan, The Road to El Dorado). Featuring a powerhouse cast, a full live orchestra, breathtaking choreography, and the iconic Academy Award–winning song “When You Believe,” this is a universal story of identity, freedom, and hope — and quite possibly the most ambitious production ever brought to The Argyle stage
