Astra Theatre Company Announces Cast For THE GLASS MENAGERIE

Astra Theatre Company has announced the cast for their production of The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams. The cast includes Kathy Breeden as Amanda Wingfield, Colin Fewell as Tom Wingfield, Bree Patterson as Laura Wingfield and Josh LeBrun as Jim. The Glass Menagerie will serve as Astra Theatre Company's inaugural production and will open Friday, September 27th at the Living Room Theatre in Kansas City.
Kauffman Center Announces New Media Resources

Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts recently launched its 2019-2020 Kauffman Center Presents series. This year's diverse lineup includes internationally acclaimed musicians, speakers and artists performing in both Muriel Kauffman Theatre and Helzberg Hall. Members of the media now have access to the Kauffman Center's 2019-2020 artist photo album. The album includes media photos of artists and performers for the 2019-2020 season and will be updated as new performers are confirmed throughout the season.
Touch-A-Truck Hosted By Overland Park Convention Center To Salute Troops And Benefit Toys For Tots

The hit musical that critics have described as "Jersey Boys meets West Side Story," and "An entertaining, heartwarming, high-powered crowd-pleaser," (amNewYork), A Bronx Tale is headed to Kansas City as part of the 2019 AdventHealth Broadway Series. Featuring a book by Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, music by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Grammy Award winner and Oscar and Tony Award nominee Glenn Slater, and direction by two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro and four-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks, with choreography by Tony Award winner Sergio Trujillo, A Bronx Tale will play under the stars at Starlight Theatre July 30-August 4.

Kansas City's tremendous interest in and significant turnout to experience Union Station's temporary outdoor art installation -- Reflecting Motion -- has been nothing short of amazing.  An estimated 100,000 guests, between May 18th and July 9th, turned out in person to witness its breathtaking beauty and celebrate this one-of-a-kind sky sculpture floating above the Station's massive green space. Hundreds of thousands more enjoyed its spectacle via extended and extensive news coverage, special documentaries and social media sharing.

The hilarious campy comedy written by Adam Szymkowicz runs Friday and Saturday nights through July 20. This 65-minute production is riddled with sidesplitting humor, musical numbers, and hilarious choreography.
