The topsy-turvy tale of romance, family, and heartache is an incredibly entertaining piece.

The Les Miserables National Tour has made its stop in Jacksonville and has audiences cheering. Les Miz, as it is known to many theatre goers, is based on Victor Hugo's novel of the same name.  The story is set in France between 1815 and 1832, features iconic characters such as Jean Valjean, Javert, Fantine, Eponine, Cosette, and so many more. Audiences are able to follow their stories through a show that is sung COMPLETELY through and feel all the emotions, triumphs, and excitement that is in front of them. I cannot say enough good things about Les Miserables, but let's try!

Jacksonville, "Prepare Ye the Way of the Lord"! Godspell opened at the Alhambra January 11 and is entertaining audiences. The musical follows the parables Jesus Christ told, presented by many different characters in present day terms, accompanied by a wonderful score written by Stephen Schwartz.

Jacksonville was blown away by the Tenth Anniversary Tour of Rock of Ages. The musical that tells the story of a bunch of dreamers on the Sunset strip, that are trying to make it big in the rock-n-roll world. Following the adventures of love, heartbreak, defeat, stardom, and the fight to keep rock-n-roll alive as a father-son team wants to destroy the Boulevard and turn it into multiple shopping centers. The musical showcases hit songs from the late 80's such as "Don't Stop Believin'", "Here I Go Again", "Hit Me with Your Best Shot", and so many more! Rock of Ages captivated every single audience member and connected us all through iconic songs and entertaining stories!

Alhambra To Open GODSPELL This Month

In late 2009, the Alhambra Dinner Theater was purchased by a group of Jacksonville business people as a way to save the iconic theater from closing permanently. What set out to be a short journey and a labor of love, turned into a passion for Craig Smith and Theatre Partners, LLC as they kick off their tenth season at the helm of what is now the Alhambra Theatre & Dining - the longest running dinner theater in America. The Alhambra, as it is more commonly known locally, will launch its 52nd season on January 11 with the Broadway and pop culture hit, Godspell.

Alhambra Cast To Sing National Anthem Sunday

Prior to the kick off of Sunday's Jacksonville Jaguars game against the Washington Redskins, the cast of the Alhambra Theatre & Dining's Elf…the Musical will perform the National Anthem. Elf…the Musical is the current production at the nation's longest-running dinner theater, which opened in Jacksonville in December of 1967. This is the first time in the Alhambra's rich 51-year history to perform at an NFL game. The Alhambra cast will take to the field at approximately 12:57 PM on Sunday, December 16 at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville.
