The musical based on the movie Elf, tells the story of how Buddy the Elf finds out he is actually a human and his journey to New York City to meet his father. Buddy runs into all sorts of obstacles and situations that is sure to keep audiences laughing. The show is sure to put all audiences in the Christmas spirit!

The iconic Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I has arrived for the FSCJ Artist Series 2018-2019 season. Audience members will hear the classic songs, observe beautiful choreography, and laugh at the great wit of the cast members. The King and I first produced in 1951 has many themes and conflicts that still ring true today. The cast presents these beautifully for audience members to really grab a hold of. Audience members of all ages will be entertained and moved by the performance.

BWW Review: 1776 at Alhambra Theatre And Dining

1776 has declared its position at The Alhambra Theatre and Dining. The Tony nominated show tells the story of the drafting of the Declaration of Independence between May and July of 1776. Anyone who has taken a history class will recognize the iconic characters, such as John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and many more. It is a joy to watch the story so many know appear in front of their eyes by the incredible cast.

Pedro Ka'awaoa is honored to be bringing King Mongkut to life in The King and I's national tour. He has a BA in Music from Harvard University. Regional: The Fantasticks, South Pacific, Evita, The Addams Family, The Producers, Jesus Christ Superstar, White Christmas, The Odd Couple Female Version. MDConductor: Cabaret, First Date, Seussical, Putnam Spelling Bee, The King and I, Les Miserables School Edition. Pedro is also a choir conductor, pianist, musician, teacher, and composer. He is also a fitness and mindfulness enthusiast. Aloha and IMUA!  Ka'awaoa spent some time talking with BroadwayWorld to discuss his road to The King and I and their upcoming journey to Jacksonville.

Thrasher-Horne Center Appoints New Executive Director Anna Zirbel

St. Johns River State College has named Anna Zirbel as the new executive director of the Thrasher-Horne Center. Zirbel, who has 20 years of theatre and venue management experience, has served as both Thrasher-Horne Center's director of marketing and sales and box office manager since joining the team in 2005.

It's the summer of 1776, and the nation is ready to declare independence... if only our founding fathers can agree to do it! 1776 follows John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia as they attempt to convince the members of the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the shackles of the British monarchy by signing the Declaration of Independence.  1776 will open at Jacksonville's iconic Alhambra Theatre & Dining on October 17.
