Central City Opera Postpones Summer Festival to 2021

Due to ongoing safety concerns around COVID-19, Central City Opera's Summer Festival will be postponed until summer of 2021. The scheduled lineup of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel, Verdi's Rigoletto and Purcell's Dido and Aeneas will remain the same next season.

The project is conceptually grounded in an obliquely simple message: WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER. As a call for unity, the project gestures to a utopic provocation, but for the artist, it is a call to action. The Together project will incorporate philanthropy, social engagement, conversations, and sculpture.
