The astonishing virtuosa Freda Payne brings the First Lady of Song to life with an elegance, resonant beauty, and transcendent voice that captures the immortal Ella Fitzgerald. The show follows Ella from her childhood struggles of living with abuse and her time on the streets through her career as the preeminent jazz singer of her time.
Ages: Due to a few instances of profanity and suggestiveness, discussion surrounding abortion, and an implication of sexual assault when the singer was a teen, Ella is recommended for older teens and adults.
