FJK Dance is a contemporary dance company and 501(c)(3) non-profit based in New York City, founded in 2014 by Fadi J. Khoury and Sevin Ceviker and built around community, education and performance outreach. Artistic director Fadi Joseph Khoury, a choreographer, dancer and visual artist raised in Iraq and Lebanon, blends contemporary dance, ballet and Arabic folkloric movement, and often incorporates live painting so that performance becomes a living canvas. Its solo interactive piece DABKE centers on the Levantine line dance of the same name and invites audiences onto the floor to learn it.
