About this studio

Eryc Taylor Dance is a New York City nonprofit contemporary dance company, registered as a 501(c)(3) and celebrating its 20th season. Led by artistic director Eryc Taylor, the company creates and presents original performances and dance films that address social and environmental issues, tours with sponsorship from bodies including NYSCA, LMCC and the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, and commissions new work. It supports emerging artists through the annual New Choreographer Grant and through Surveillance in Motion, an incubator in which artists create solos examining surveillance, consent and digital presence. The company offers a masterclass series for dancers and, through its ETD Outreach division founded in 2014, has run accessible dance workshops for more than 10,000 participants at over 34 sites across the New York metropolitan area, with an emphasis on equal access for people of diverse abilities.
