The Classics Theatre Project Announces Casting And Details For MISS JULIE

The Classics Theatre Project's Artistic Director Joey Folsom today announced casting and creative team details for the Company's second production, August Strindberg's Miss Julie. Directed by Nathan Autrey, Miss Julie will run October 9 - November 3, 2018 at The Core Theatre in Richardson, Texas. The ensemble cast features Joey Folsom as Jean (understudy Ryan Maffei), Beth Lipton and Gretchen Hahn alternating performances as Miss Julie and Sasha Maya Ada as Christine.

After two years of celebrating and promoting the vocal talents of Dallas and Fort Worth, Alexandre's Bar's BROADWAY ON A TUESDAY will host an epic celebration featuring a full band and the largest line up of singers to date. Creator Kimberly Billings Oliver, who serves as the weekly organizer and emcee, will host the anniversary event today, August 21st at 7pm.

OKLAHOMA! opens at Artisan Center Theater on Friday, August 31, 2018 and runs through Saturday, September 29, 2018. The 196 seat theater-in-the-round is located at 444 East Pipeline Road in Hurst. Performances are at 7:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with 3:00pm matinees on Saturdays beginning September 8. Reserved seating tickets are $24.00 for adults, $22.00 for students and seniors, and $12.00 for children 12 and under.  Monday through Thursday tickets are $22.00 for adults and $10.00 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at ArtisanCT.com, or by calling the box office at 817-284-1200.

Immediately following the Sunday, August 19th performance of Heisenberg/Actually, written by Simon Stephens and Anna Ziegler, respectively, Theatre Three will welcome speakers from local advocacy groups to speak to the timely issues that arise onstage in Actually. The evening will cover several triggering topics, including Title IX (the law that states a school becomes legally responsible when their response to harassment 'is clearly unreasonable in light of the known circumstances.'), sexual assault, and the urgent understanding of consent. This one-time-only opportunity will follow the 2:30 performance.
